Serving from the Heart
We assist impoverished Guatemalans gain an education, relieve chronic malnutrition and acute hunger, and improve their living conditions—empowering them to become self-reliant. We also support cultural experiences between our donors and our beneficiaries to further enrich communities.
Learn about our Guatemalan programs
Our programs align with our Guatemalan service provider, FundaMaya, in the mission to strengthen Guatemalan communities surrounding Lake Atitlán by promoting education and nutritional resources.
Education
School in Guatemala is free, but the attendance costs of supplies, required fees, books, and transportation are too high for many. Sponsoring a child's education helps to break the poverty cycle.
Chronic and Acute Nutrition Aid
Hungry children cannot learn well. All donations accepted will go to a general food fund primarily for our sponsored students families and secondarily for other acute situations Fundamaya social workers identify.
Elderly Care
Some families are faced with the difficult choice to feed their child or their elderly parent or grandparent. This program provides weekly meals, assistance, and companionship to poor elderly.
Volunteer
Due to the pandemic, volunteer groups are currently encouraged to find other ways to make a difference. Get in touch with us if you are interested in learning more about how you can help.
Helping Babies Survive
We look forward to the time we can continue this important training in Guatemala. We invite you to look at our training album to see what we accomplished before we had to suspend the program due to the pandemic.
General Fund
The general fund gives us the flexibility to determine what is needed most. This fund is key to continued operations.
Sponsor a Student
Investing in children causes positive ripple effects for generations. These children are the future of these communities, and their families lack the resources to support their educations.
Food Scarcity Relief
With COVID-19 we are all in a boat on the same rough waters. The boat Guatemalans must navigate is fragile and we want to help!
COVID-19 in Guatemala
We are all facing uncertain times. In order to stop the spread of the virus in Guatemala, the local economy has been obliterated. Many families rely on the money they bring in each day to buy the food they eat that day; food scarcity is now absolutely critical, and the threat of starvation is real for many. There is nowhere for these people to turn for help. They turn to us, and so we now turn to you. Help us keep our friends alive by donating to the Emergency Food Fund if you are able.

Helping Babies Survive
Action AI runs a Helping Babies Survive program, teaching critical infant resuscitation techniques to newborn caregivers. Donations are used to purchase equipment and clean birthing kits. Often, newborn caregivers untrained in infant resuscitation or without access to proper equipment leave babies who would thrive with early intervention to die. This program improves health outcomes for mothers and babies by providing much-needed training and equipment. This program has been suspended due to COVID-19. When conditions are right, we will continue this program.
